Do you accept walk-in registrations?

Walk-in registrations are welcomed depending on availability.

  • Writing utensil
  • Notebook
  • Bag lunch or lunch money. Snacks and soft drinks may also be available for purchase during breaks

Louisiana Driver’s Guides are available for purchase at an additional $20.00 fee

How soon after completing the classroom portion of the 38 Hour Course can I expect my child to begin driving?

Our instructors strive to work as fast as possible so that an extended wait period is avoided. We work closely with each family’s schedule. Inclement weather delays our drivers. The wait time can take as long as a few months. The State Of Louisiana allows 120 days for a student to complete their driving time.  The summer along with holidays are considered the busy season so we encourage families to consider the wait during these times when enrolling.

What kind of vehicles will the students learn to drive on?

Breaux's Driving School provides vehicles that are setup with a dual brake system which provides student safety, and provides each instructor more opportunity to direct the students driving, which allows student drivers to learn more effectively.

Are students insured in case of an accident?

Breaux's Driving School would like to make this process as easy and convenient for parents and their children as possible so we provide all of the necessary insurance for the student drivers, instructors, and each vehicle. The student is fully insured so it is not necessary to obtain any kind of motor vehicle insurance when registering with us.

How will the student arrive to class at Breaux's Driving School?

Each student is responsible for his or her own transportation to and from our location. After each student has successfully finished the 30 hour lecture, pick up and drop off arrangements may be made if available by the instructor for the 8 hour behind the wheel portion of the course at Breaux's Driving School's discretion.

Is there a discount on auto insurance?

Each student is given a certificate after completing the 6 or 38 hour course. Students may qualify for an auto insurance discount, but parents should contact their insurance agent to learn more. Breaux's Driving School does not guarantee any discount for auto insurance after having completed a 6 or 38 hour course. An extra Certificate of Completion will be given to each student to hold for future proof of completing state rules for obtaining a license.  Your insurance may ask for a copy of this certificate. We ask that you keep it in a secure location along with important documents.  If you need a duplicate copy of your Certificate of Completion the cost will be $25.00.  We encourage everyone to keep this document for at least 5 years or more.
